Dear Ed,
When we came to church (Sacred Heart Basilica) on Sundays, you brightened our day many Sundays by just being there and smiling after we tapped you on the shoulder. We always exchanged a few words and felt the warmth of your personality and sensed "What a kind, wonderful man you are". We'll think of you and miss you very much. May God love you and bless you Ed. And Frances, God Bless You and your family. Marge & Marion (The first seaters in church)

Every kid should be so lucky to have had an Uncle Ed. He was strong and he loved kids. He always had the energy to horse around with us. He’d help us “karate-chop” boards in half, hold us up to the ceiling, whatever. He remained strong until the last time I saw him – he clasped my hand as firm as he always did. He was always proud that he had a tight stomach and a strong torso. I admired that.
He introduced a lot of us to boating because he was the first to have one in our extended family. He took Grampa fishing for hours and they’d deplete the lake with their drop-a-beer-can-and-hook-a-fish-trick. I remember Mickey would talk to him over the CB radio from the cottage to see when they were coming back. I wish I could similarly summon all three back now.

Aunt Fran and family, we are so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Ed. I will always have memories of him as a tall handsome man in his sheriff's uniform in my high school - how proud I was to be related to him ! Uncle Ed had a long and wonderful life and I know you all have many happy memories that will sustain you through your current heartache. We are sending you our love and prayers.
