Direct Cremation with Alternative Container

The cost for Direct Cremation is $995 and includes:

  • Transfer of Deceased from place of death to Hollis Funeral Home
  • Gathering of Deceased's Information
  • Signing of all documents required by New York State
  • Transportation to Crematory
  • Alternative Container with wood base and corrugated cardboard cover

 *Oakwood Crematory fee of

The cost for this package is $1540 and includes:

  • Transfer of Deceased from place of death to Hollis Funeral Home
  • Gathering of Deceased's Information
  • Signing of all documents required by New York State
  • Transportation to Crematory
  • Simple Bamboo Eco Friendly Container (Alternative Container)

 *Oakwood Crematory fee of $350 not included. 


 This is the Simple Bamboo Container. It's included in the Eco Friendly Direct Cremation charge of $1540. These are perfect for those people that wish to go green. Cardboard is processed with chemicals, glue, inks and binders which are toxic when burned. That’s why Passages International designed Simple Bamboo Containers. They’re handwoven and made from renewable bamboo for a cleaner and greener, yet dignified cremation. They are certified Fair Trade and burn more completely, at a lower temperature, and do not emit toxins. They are fully biodegradable containing no plastic, metal, or cardboard. Weight tested to 350lbs.
