Obituary of Bogdan John Zaborowski

Bogdan John Zaborowski, 67, formerly of Fulton and Syracuse, NY, died on July 22, 2016 in Butler, PA, after a long illness. He is predeceased by his parents and is survived by his three sisters, Anna Stodolak (Frank) of Shoddy Daisy, TN; Maria Milella (Gene) of Rochester, NY; and Vicky Hales (John) of Stafford, VA. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, their families and dear friends.
Bogdan was born in Sheffield England on March 30th, 1949 where his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Kazimierz (Bronislawa “Mama”) Zaborowski, emigrated to at the end of World War II. The family came to the United States in 1951 settling in the Fulton area. Bogdan graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton in 1967, studied at Onondaga Community College in Auburn, and then enlisted in the U. S. Army. He served in the Republic of Viet Nam and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his year-long service at Long Binh, Viet Nam. He was honorably discharged from the Army and returned to Fulton where he followed in his parents’ footsteps working at the Sealright factory in Fulton as a machinist and then a warehouse manager.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 927 Park Avenue, Syracuse NY on Saturday, September 10th at 9:30 a.m. Burial with Honors: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes. Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.
