My sympathy to Dottie's family. I taught with Dottie at St. James School. I taught Social Studies to grades 6-8 while Dottie taught Science. I learned a lot from her and Mary McAuliffe. They were wonderful mentors. My prayers are with your family at this time. God Bless.

I used to love looking in my mom's (Dolores Babylon's) scrapbooks at pictures of her with her high school girlfriends, Dorothy one of them. Over the years she came down to Maryland to visit, once to become my sister Elaine's godmother. I distinctly remember driving around with Dorothy, her sister Chris, and Mom in Washington, D.C. on a horribly hot day when I was in college; Dorothy commented, "That's what I hate about the South," which struck me as funny, since I'd never thought we WERE in the South. (Though Dad, a Marylander, liked to tease them and call them Yankees.) Dorothy was fun. On behalf of my siblings and myself, I would like to pay my respects here. And of course on behalf of Dolores, who has already sent her own words in the mail. Dorothy was a true thing, a lifelong friend.
