October 24, 2008 Robert B. Hunt Sr, 79, lifelong resident of Syracuse passed away Friday, October 24, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. He retired from Marble Farms Diary after working there many years. He will long be remembered for his love of sports, particularly baseball. He played two years of professional baseball in Kentucky, where he met and married his wife. He continued to play, coach and umpire baseball throughout his life. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Gwendolyn J. Hunt and children, Jan Crumb, Robert (Vivian) Hunt Jr., Donna (John) Stewart and Perrianne Hunt, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church United of Syracuse, 620 West Genesee Street on Saturday, November 1st at 2 p.m. with reception immediately following at the American Legion Valley Post 1468, 110 Academy St. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Vivian Teal Howard activities department, 116 East Castle St, Syracuse, NY 13205 or charity of your choice.
