Dad, mom passed away last Wednesday April 20th. Some of the old timers came to her calling hours. It was nice to see them it brought back a lot of good memories. We are taking her back to Kentucky next week and burying her with her family. She has wanted to go back there for some time now. Rustie also passed away on March 26th. Mom was so upset that she couldn't be with Rustie when the vet had to put her down, Mom was in the hospital and of course was feeling guilty and bad about not being with her. I miss mom and you so much. I miss our family. I love you both

Hi Grampa,
I miss you. Happy Fathers Day to the wonderful man that was like a father to me, you were the best grampa! The twins are 1 now! Can you believe it? I cant believe how fast it goes by, you would be so proud and in love with them. Bob was one of the great friends of my life. Being a "Split Rocker" had special meaning to Bob and to those of us who were lucky enough to be part of that legendary baseball organization Bob will be forever known as THE "Split Rocker" and as a baseball legend and true friend.

My memories come from playing against Bob for twelve years in the NY State League (BaseBall). He was a tough competitor. But above that he was a true friend as he was always there to offer advice to a competitor. The Split Rock vs. Hannibal rivalry will always be in my mind.

He meant so much to Patrick and therefore I. I know he had a great impact on his life. His humor and personality will be missed. I thank the Lord that he left a legacy of great memories. I know there are still stories I have not heard yet. I have to assume he had such an impact on others around him. May he rest in peace. Love the Kelly's

Gwen, I'm not sure if you'll even remember me, but I saw Bob's notice in the paper today and wanted to express my deepest sympathies. I just lost my husband, Barry, on June 6 2008. He was my sole mate since 1986. Only those who have lost a spouse can truly understand the heartache and emptiness that follows. I still remember all the fun we had at the ballgames with you guys. Perrianne, Dickie and Buddie were so little then. Please know that you and the kids are in my prayers at this time of sorrow. Love with fondest memories, Anne Hopkins (Woodridge). My e-mail is abhopkins@frontiernet.net if you with to respond but please don't feel you have to...I will certainly understand.

I had a great experience playing baseball for Bobby at Rosary in '73 and '74. We went south both years to play some tune up games and had a great time. Later I remember playing softball with him in Solvay and buying Christmas trees from him at Marble Farms. He even got me hired down there for one summer. He was a great guy and my sympathies go out to his family.

Gwen, It is hard to believe that Bob is going to pick up grounders and swing at strikes on the team up above. He enriched CNY baseball and the lives of all he knew. May God comfort you and your family.
