Peter R. Hennessey Obituary

February 21, 2013 Peter R. Hennessey 68 went home to the Lord after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born in Brooklyn before moving to Syracuse. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Margaret and his sister Kaaren. Peter serves his country in the Navy and was honorably discharged September 1969. He went on to become the owner of many restaurants, taverns and clubs, his most recent being Rise and Shine Diner, which will continue on per his wishes. Peter was also a life long supporter of local music, and the diner became a reflection of that passion. Peter is survived by his son, Seth and by many that his touch in their lives will never be forgotten. Memorial Visitation: Monday 4 to 6 PM with Memorial Services following at Hollis Funeral Home 1105 W. Genesee St Syracuse.
