We had so much fun back in the day at The Brookside and many other places.
You were Friends with so many and I am proud that our Family and I were a part of your life..
I am glad you are at peace now.
Thank You for for giving so much to the Syracuse music community and your restaurant with all it's local musicians pictures on the walls and the jukebox full of local music will stand as a testament to your commitment to all the musicians you loved and the ones that loved you back.

Pete sponsored our softball team in the March of Dimes Snowball Softball Classic in 1983. We won it and Pete was going to send us and all the patrons of Cecil’s to Omaha Nebraska for the national championship. We had a lot of fun kicking that around even though it never came to fruition. It’s always good to dream. We also knew each other from Eastwood days.
Pete I’m glad I got to talk with you one last time at the Rise & Shine.

He was my late husband's best friend and my employer at one time. I loved Peter. He lived a full life doing exactly what he wanted and brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. The Rise & Shine will forever stand as a memorial to this "Bigger Than Life" beautiful soul.

11 days since you passed & still, we get tears in our eyes! You were SO much to SO many!! What a Blessing it was to know you! I am so thankful I did. I have known Pete since I was a young girl. My family and I lived next door to him on Mildred Ave. Throughout the years we followed him to each place he owned because the food was always delicious and made special for us. My family and I will always remember him fondly Rest peacefully, friend.

Deepest sympathy to the family and many friends of Peter (Especially to his staff and patrons at the RISE N SHINE DINER on Thompson Rd)...he will be (IS) sadly missed by many!What a wonderful man he was!
