We met Bill & Carol and his family at Onondaga Lake marina right around 20-25 years ago. In fact we were their next door yacht neighbors and Seneca River neighbors as well. Billy & my father were born on the same day and year. That made our friendship special besides his great personality and kindness. I was looking forward for his return this summer so we could enjoy a Crown Royal Manhattan.
Gonna miss you Billy.....
My father and I are so sorry for your loss and offer our deepest condolences.
Take care Carol..hope to see you soon!

Also remember Eureka Street and Billy being older brother of Connie and becoming husband of Friend and classmate Carol Sobotka.foe all the years we attended Sacred Heart. Remembering the grand piano, and Christmas trees ,other than green, pin, or white. So beautiful and elegant, by his Mother. Brings back so many memories... God bless Carol and your family. I remember Bill as a member of the Eureka St neighborhood gang going back approx 70+ years. Always friendly, interesting and a great conversationalist. I'll never forget his excitement when he purchased dental lab equipment from Utica and began to demonstrate his expertise in the making of dentures!!! Condolences to Carol & family.

Carol ... It was always nice to spend a few minutes chatting with him at the Marina. The "mayor of the marina" was certainly an apt and vivid description of him. My sincerest condolences to you and your family.

My sympathy goes out to his family. I worked with Billy for many years and he taught me a lot of things about the meat industry. May he rest in peace.
