I met Sister Pat back in the late 1980's when she would come to Wegman's to grocery shop for the
Sisters. We used to talk about my desire to serve God and she introduced me to her community of Sisters and thanks to her I am now an associate at the Dominican Monastery where she is an active member.

Thank you to you, Sister Pat's family, for sharing her with us. My relationship with Sr. Pat began at the gym. side by side we would sweat off the calories and give glory to the Lord for the marvelous way he "strung our muscles together". Thanks to the encouragement of Sr. Pat, I went on to participate in 43 marathons and tomorrow (Sun)) you can be sure I will feel her wind beneath my wings, as I run the Rome(NY) Marathon in her memory! God has blessed all of us who knew and loved Sr. Pat.

To Sister Patricia's family:
Sister always brought a ray of sunshine wherever she went. We would look forward to her visits to our pharmacy and later when Bob went to medical school, perhaps a chance meeting in the mall. Our lives will be lessened now that she is gone, but Heaven will shine brighter forever. May she rest in peace surrounded by love.

We have had the blessing of having known Sister Pat for many, many years. She was always warm, endearing and like a magnet you were drawn to Her. Aunt Pat was sharp, witty, worldy and in touch with life. She always had words of wisdom to offer. I was always touched that she knew what was going on in my life as well as Dave's. She was so easy to talk to and it was always a real treat when she came to visit in NJ. She loved the life she lived and because of that you were inspired to live yours better.
I have always felt a little safer and blessed for having known Sister Pat. I beleive she always kept me in her prayers.
Our lives are that much richer by having known Aunt Pat. All of the Checchio's are top notch people and "Aunt Pat" is right along side of them.
We are very forunate to had recently spent some one-on-one time with Aunt Pat...before she had divulged her illness. Looking back she was being true to herself and was definitely considering the feelings of others by not sharing her concerns.
Thank you to all the Checchio's for always opening your hearts and home to Dave and me. It is because of your love and affection that we also got to know and be touched by this amazing person.
We are thinking of all of you today and will be praying that you are at peace.
We will miss Aunt Pat for sure.
With love,
Gabrielle & Dave

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Checchio and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of sorrow and celebration. Although Aunt Pat will be missed here on earth, she would want everyone to celebrate her life and homecoming to heaven above. Her love and legacy will live on and she will always be with us in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Her contagious giggle and love for the Lord above will never be forgotten and is now being shared in heaven. They are very lucky to have such a special person among them.
Love,
Jack, Tina and Girls
