Obituary of Roger Allen Fellows

Roger Fellows of Syracuse NY, passed away on 8/4/24.  He was predecessor by his parents, Ethel (Nave) and Adelbert Fellows, his baby brother Ronald, sister Jeannette Hill, nieces Kathy and Kendra Hill, and nephew Christopher Hill.  He is survived by his niece Colleen Hill-Sober ( Scott Sober), and nephew Kenneth Hill.

Roger was born in Syracuse in January 1946.  He was valedictorian of the class of 1963 at Blodget Vocational HS and earned his BS in physics from Renselear Polytec Institute in 1967.

He worked as a sonar engineer at General Electric, and then NYS Department of Labor, retiring as a supervisor after 37 years.  Roger then took a job with CNY Works as a Trade Act Specialist, helping to obtain funding to retrain laid off factory workers for new careers.  He worked in that position for 9 years until his "second retirement".  

Roger was known for his talent with computers and cameras.  His photos were featured at the NYS fair, Syracuse Camera Club, Beaver Lake calendars and International Salons.  He always took a camera with him when he hiked the trails at State and County parks.

He enjoyed watching basketball, lacrosse, football, track and field, and old sci-fi movies.

At Roger's request, his remains will be cremated and returned to nature.
