Obituary of Marya Gendzielewski

Marya C. Gendzielewski MD, 64 of Westvale, died January 6, 2024 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY. She graduated from the University of Rochester and Upstate Medical University College of Medicine. She was a Board Certified Endocrinologist and an attending Physician at St. Joe's for over 30 years. Marya was a true Physician, loved the practice of Medicine and considered it an honor and a pleasure to care for all her patients.

She was predeceased by her parents Edmund and Martha Gendzielewski. She is survived by her sister Alexa Gendzielewski, several cousins an her beloved pets.

She leaves to cherish her memory her dearest friends Joe and Meg Caputo, Cheryl Cary, Martha Czaplicki, Dr. Santo DeFino, Nora Cummins, Jay Kianka, Harry Moratis, Bill Daily, Tiffany Gregory, Clee Hadley, Jessica Lynn and Mark Gildameyer.

The family would like acknowledge DRs., Hellar, Saada, Kort, Panebianco and HOA of CNY. Caregivers Freya, Nora, Martha, Kathy, Sandy, Stacey, Chris, Priscilla and Pam Sison.

Also her ever faithful Office Staff Nora, Rita, Keith, Shannon, PA Angela and Jann Cady. And most especially, the Nursing Staff of 1-4 whose professionalism and deep caring that meant so much to Marya and her family.

At Marya's request, all funeral arrangements are private with no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
