Dr. G stepped in and helped me at a time when I was feeling very ill, and her subsequent treatment and care turned my life around. I have nothing but the kindest words to say, and her life was ended far too soon. I am incredibly saddened to hear of her passing, especially because I didn’t get a chance to tell her how thankful I was for her care.

I am so sad to hear of Dr. G’s passing. She was my endocrinologist for over 10 years. After searching for answers to my medical issues, Dr. G was the one who took the time to listen, investigate and finally diagnose me. I will forever remember the day I walked out of her office in tears, from pure joy and relief, because I finally had an answer! I will always remember Dr. G’s fantastic sense of fashion, her many recommendations she gave me for traveling, and the kindness she even showed my children when they happened to tag along for an appointment. Sending my condolences to her family, colleagues and office staff.

Our family was very saddened to hear of Dr. G.'s passing. She has played a special role in our daughter's life this last year as our daughter was a student at SU and facing a cancer diagnosis. Our daughter instantly trusted her with her matter of fact personality and she was crucial in helping her understand her medical diagnosis, next steps and explaining that she could face all these horrible things and still come out on top. We thank for her patience, kindness and advice. I'm sure she will be missed by many. So, Dr. G. please watch our girl reach those Broadway dreams from above, she surely would have sent you a front row ticket.
Best,
The Revellese Family

I was a patient of hers and didn't know her personally; however, the first time I met her, I was struck by her remarkable personality. I instantly liked her.
She was obviously a spectacular doctor, but also full of life and energy. I am both shocked and greatly saddened by her passing. I'm so sorry for her family and friends. I know it's a huge loss.

My sincerest condolences to Dr. Gendzielewski's family, friends and staff. I met her in the early '90's when I was the outpatient dietitian at St. Joe's and she practiced in the Ambulatory care clinics. I eventually became a patient and appreciated her

Dr. G was my endocrinologist for decades. Beyond that, though, she saw me, remembered me, talked with me, and touched me deeply as the wonderful woman she was. She sensed when other health issues complicated my life, and invited me to return to her care for any help with any issue. She diagnosed problems several other doctors could not, and she did it within minutes of my listing symptoms. I’ve always been impressed with her medical knowledge but she stands alone as the doctor who visibly cared about me and my health. Her gentle kindness was beyond any I’ve ever experienced. I will carry her in my prayers forever and celebrate the privilege of having her care for my body and my spirit.

To Dr. G's family, friends, colleagues and all those who loved her,
God blessed me by placing me in the care of Dr. G over 30 yrs. ago. Not only was she a kind, thoughtful, dedicated and knowledgeable physician who I trusted completely, she also felt like my friend. She always took the time to catch up with me personally before addressing my specific medical issue. I think she did that first, because she was a great doctor who wanted to know about her patients in order to better care for them, but also because she was a caring person. We had a mutual love of horses and I remember when she told me she had made the decision not to ride any longer as she couldn't risk serious injury because her patients needed her. She was putting her patients before herself. She cared for so many of us and now God is caring for her.

Forget Me Not
Don’t remember me not with sadness,
Don’t remember me with tears,
Remember all the laughter,
We’ve shared throughout the years,
Now I am contented,
That my life it was worthwhile.
Knowing that I passed along the way,
I made somebody smile,
When you are walking down the street,
And you’ve got me on your mind,
I’m walking in your footsteps,
Only half a step behind,
So please don’t be unhappy,
Just because I’m out of sight,
Remember that I’m with you,
Each morning, noon, and night.

I've been a patient of Dr. G's for about 20 years. She has kept me on track with many health issues, but more than that, she listened and always remembered everything we talked about. One time I was in the ER with my mom and she saw me in the hall, asked why I was there, and when I told her about my mom, she went right to her room to check on her. I always had great respect for her caring and generous spirit. She will be missed.

I am beyond saddened by Marya's passing. An extraordinary person and physician with a bigger than life personality that gave her all to her patients. I was in awe of her medical knowledge and sharp mind. Such a sad loss for the medical community. I witnessed even the best in the business calling her to get advice on their patients. Her love for laughter, and generosity to those around her was bar none. She loved horses, cows, shoes and flowers. Every week she had a beautiful flower arrangement delivered to her from Whistlestop Florist, each one better than the last one. When she received them, her eyes would light up with joy. She loved to tell everyone they were cheaper than therapy. Marya was great at matching her masks to her outfit and if she saw you had on something that matched a mask she had, she quickly gave it to you. I will forever cherish the advice and guidance she gave me over the years. I can still hear her laugh and will always remember her beautiful blue eyes that brightened when she was mischievous. So many wonderful memories of sharing laughter with her from her quick wit and uncanny perspectives. She will not only never be forgotten, but I will forever carry her memory with me always. Deepest Condolences, Marcia
