We send our condolences to the Nozynski family for the loss of their special John. While Tom recalls shared rides to the SU campus with John, his connections expanded further when they both lived in Milwaukee, WI. John was managing the Fine Arts Gallery of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Tom was a student at the medical college in the same city. They had fond memories of their several years of sharing living space in a historic mansion’s carriage house and keeping the house safe (!) while the owners were away. One of the parties that John planned for the respective staff members of the UW-M art department and the Milwaukee Art Center was where we, Tom & Mary, met. John was adept at his arts management skills in so many locations, and we also visited him at the gorgeous, historic Cheekwood estate and art museum that he managed in Nashville. As well as his knowledge in arts, antiques, and aesthetics, John had a flair for entertaining and remembering people and places. Our lives were richer for having known John Nozynski. May he rest in peace. We will pray for his soul to be heaven-bound!
