I am the cheerleader that always had his name for roll call for basketball at Sacred Heart School. My heart is so very sad to hear of his passing. I remember when renee and i lived together and we had a power outrage in the middle of the summer. dan let us come and stay at his house for the night so we would not have heat stroke. I also remember the time we cooked thanksgiving dinner for dan and his friends and renee and i had a whole bottle of wine to drink and the food came out either under cooked or over cooked and dan ate it anyway. so many good memories. I will miss you greatly gus who else will call me beatie. i am so sorry i have not hung out with you in so long but someday we will hang out again. i love you dan.

Danny, aka "Gutter Gus" my childhood buddy. We will all miss you dearly. Seems like yesterday when we played minor league baseball for Genes Food Mart and bowling league sat mornings. Playing cards with the boys and hoops in st. Louie parking lot. My backcourt running mate 1988 Sacred heart hoops team. That team was awesome with big Dud, Nap, hokie, Gaz, danny W and crew. So many memories. You were like the brother I never had growing up. We used to walk to school together and you always had my back. Now you walk in heaven with the angels. I will miss you my friend!!

Renee and family,
Jo and I were deeply saddened to hear of Danny's passing. The word shock barely describes the emotion. Danny could always be counted on for a warm greeting, that big smile and making everyone glad to be with him. You and Danny had become part of the summer ritual in Wilson Cove and it will not be the same without him. Although, Danny will always be there in our hearts. I can still hear his laugh as I type this.
