Dorcas, you're with your beloved Eliott The Big Dog again. I wish I'd found you to reconnect before you left Earth, but I'm so happy to see that you kept your gentle nature. I'll never forget the long talks we had in the back yard on South Beech Street sitting around the goldfish pond. You were a truly kind and pure person. I remember the way you described your nursing education and your parents and Binghamton and all the experiences of your life, and your jokes about our shared experiences as "Jersey Girls" are forever remembered. Bless you.

Dorcas and I were friends in high school. While that is a long time ago, these friendships seem to hold firm through all these years. We have not seen each other, but I shared art classes and several others with her. I remember a lot of laughter. More importantly we were part of a large social circle and spent time together. As her obituary stated Dorcas was loved and she will be remembered. I will remember her.

Dorcas was always so sweet in high school. I haven’t seen her since, but remember her fondly. The world is sadder without her.

I haven't seen Dorcas since the day we graduated high school and have spoken with her only a couple of times but I miss knowing that she is the world. I had a crush on her during sophomore year, it never went anywhere but she way always nice to me. I don't think she had a mean bone in her body. She was a gentle soul that took some body blows in life that did not change her nature. God rest her soul.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dorcas passing. She and I were in the same nursing program at Overlook Hospital and shared many wonderful memories together. I tried to find where she was living but was never able to get any information. I wish her peace in the arms of Our Lord

Pam Mitchell Flippin was able to notify many of Dorcas’s high school friends through our Facebook page. Like her obituary said, she was universally admired for her kindness and sweet personality. Although we haven’t seen her in many years, we remember her with genuine affection. She was lucky to have Ms B at her side at the end. I have a lot of memories of good times spent with Dorcas in Cedar Grove and Binghamton. Thank you for posting this beautiful obituary.
