Linda posted a condolence

To Linda's Family,
I was so sad to see that Linda has passed away. I knew her for 25 years and we spent lots of time talking in my office when she came into the credit union or on the phone when she couldn't come in person. Because we were both breast cancer survivors, we were "kindered spirits" and had many conversations about our experiences I lost my Mom to brain cancer in 2001 so I know the battle Linda had to fight.
She was a lovely person and I admired her spunk and how she always told it like it is, I always loved her for that. I retired from the credit union a year ago so I hadn't spoken to her in quite a while but she was one of the members who left a lasting impression and I will truly miss her . Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.

I took this photo in the St John the Evangelist school yard on the 300 block of North State Street. It shows Linda on the right. The girls were standing in front of a statue of the Blessed Mother. The site is now a parking lot.

This photo shows (standing in the back) my sister Jeanne, me, Mary Courcy, and Linda Suits. We are standing in the playground at St John the Evangelist school. The school has been demolished and is now a parking lot.

If this is the same Linda Suits who lived on HIckory Street and had a sister named Judy, I remember growing up with her. She was outgoing and had a maturity beyond our years. We attended St John the Evangelist school. We took art lessons from her sister at the old Syracuse Art Museum at the corner of State and James Streets (now the site of a gas station, before the museum became the Everson). She was attracting male attention before any of the other girls. And every time I bet her on who was going to win the World Series, she won and earned my 25 cents. If I can find a photo of her from our days at St John's, I'll post it here.
Rest well, Linda. It sounds like you lived a very good life filled with generosity.

Mom, you will be missed dearly. You took me in as an insecure teenager, broke my shell and gave me confidence to grow into the woman I am today. For that I am forever grateful. Will love you forever and always. You are always in our hearts
