Obituary of Carole Ann Holland

 Carole Ann Bernier Holland, 80, of Jamesville passed away Thursday, Feb 15, at University Community Hospital after a lingering illness. She was born in Syracuse April 7, 1937 to Archie and Edna Bernier and attended Porter Junior High. Her married life began December 26, 1954, beginning with 20 years as an Army pilot’s wife. During that time she earned the rating of practical nurse while stationed in Germany. Upon retirement from the Army, she lived in Florida for the next eighteen years, then moved back to Syracuse to be near family and friends. Carole had a talent for art and for the last 5 years she has done the paintings for her own Christmas Cards. Carole was predeceased by her sons Archie and Stratton and her daughter Melanie. She is survived by her devoted husband Robert, Son Robert and wife Tammy, Brother John Bernier, Grand daughter Brandi, and great grand children Hailey and Rylan. Carole loved animals and was an avid supporter of the ASPCA. Her desire was that donations be made the ASPCA in lieu of flowers.
