July 29 2013 Robert “Sparky” Madrid 62 of Phoenix NY passed away Monday at home, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Sparky was a guitarist who played with many bands and performed for many benefits in Central New York. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a great mentor who touched many hearts. Sparky is survived by his wife of 15 years, Laurie Barrett Madrid and their children; Windy Madrid Tyler, Denise Madrid and Tina Madrid , Robert F. (Melissa) Madrid III and Lisa Lewis; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Kathy (Terry) Cronk and Joann Martin and his caregiver & niece, Beth Darling; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
