MaryLou, It was pure serendipity that I saw Jim's obituary. I had intended to try to establish contact with him this week as I was looking for a relative from the Downs side of my family. I googled his name along with Syracuse. Jim's mother, Mary and my mother, Margaret Howley Witt, were first cousins. Jim and I share a great grandfather, Michael Downs, who lived in Newark, N.Y. where I grew up. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I deeply regret that I did not act sooner so that I may have met him.

I worked for Jim in the Syracuse office when he first started with TRW. I was saddened to hear of his passing at such a young age and from such a terrible disease. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
