Janina Regina Ryszkowska Panek Obituary

May 20, 2013 Janina Regina Ryszkowska Panek was born September 7th 1927 in Warsaw, Poland. She was a survivor of WWII with her late husband Walter A. Panek and moved to America in 1949 where she raised 17 children. She was an avid collector and enjoyed knitting, crochet, needlepoint, gardening and being a vendor at the Regional Market where she bought and sold collectables. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Walter and her son George. She is survived by her children Andrew, Raymond, Waldemar, Richard, Barbra, Juliana, Thomas, Cecilia, Michael, Robert, Edmund, Lucylia, Peter, Alexander, Regina, and her 45 grand children and 13 great grandchildren. Calling hours are at Hollis Funeral Home 1105 W. Genesee St Syracuse on Thursday May 23rd from 4 to 7pm. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Basilica on Friday May 24th at 9:30am.
