Obituary of Julia (Judy) Wysokowski
Please share a memory of Julia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Judy has gone to be with her Lord and Savior and leaves behind her greatest accomplishments: two daughters Terry Davern and Jo-Ellen Mort, and three sons Joe, John and Chris. They gave her a beautiful granddaughter Amelia, and six grandsons, John, Jeff, Chris, Tom, Michael, and Joe. To them were added three great-granddaughters Claire, Emily, and Nora, and one great-grandson Miles.
Her husband Joe went to be with the Lord in May 2003. She is also survived by three sisters Mary Brooks of Florida, Elizabeth Wise and Anne Fritcher of Syracuse, two brothers John F. Schwenderman of Syracuse and Joseph X. Schwenderman of Virginia, and sister-in-law Marie Artin of Buffalo.
When she retired from the tennis courts, her garden became her favorite place to be. She always made sure that something was blooming between March and the end of November. She was a firm believer that “he who makes a garden works hand-in-hand with God”.
Visiting hours will be at Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 W. Genesee St. Syracuse, NY on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 9:00-10:00 AM with a brief service starting at 10 AM. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, Judy’s specific request was to please consider a donation for the homeless to the Rescue Mission, PO Box 11122, Syracuse, NY 13218, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis TN, 38101, or Covenant House, 1228 Teall Ave, Syracuse, 13206.
