Obituary of Sam M. (Weinroth) Winters

Sam Winters, 88, of Syracuse passed away peacefully Saturday. Sam was born in Philadelphia, PA to his late parents, Morris B. and Etta (Gold) Weinroth. Sam was a veteran of the United States Army and was a graduate of SU. He was an English Teacher before retiring, after 30 years, from Hutchings Psychiatric Center. Sam had a very colorful life as an actor in community theater in Miami and a singer and performer in Las Vegas, his love of theater and acting led him to being an expert in both film and music. Sam was predeceased by his wife Sara and is survived by his lifelong friends; Fritz Kucinski, Barbara Omicinski and Robin Kline. Services with Honors will be held Friday 12 noon in the chapel at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
