Henry A Przybylski 99 of New Castle PA was called home on, Thursday, December 8th, 2016. He was the 3rd born of 8 children to the late Stanley and Mary (Smolkowicz) Przybylski of Poland.
Henry was a Sergeant in the Army of the United States and honorably discharged on 11/30/1945. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Unit Plague per General orders 21 headquarters, IX Air Force Service Command 2/21/1945 for the achievement and maintenance of a high standard of discipline of exceptionally difficult tasks for the period 4/1/1944-10/1/1944. Primarily assigned to service two Fighter Groups. This was done with extraordinary skill and aptitude. Later, upon arriving in France, he maintained his superior service and devotion to duty despite four straight weeks of continuous German artillery barrages, bombings, and strafings in both his living and working areas. At one time during the early days of the invasion compromised of 38 enlisted men and 2 officers, serviced more than 10,000 troops so successfully that he won the commendation and respect of all concerned. Displaying an unprecedented ingenuity and facility for improvisations, he never hesitated to undertake unusual projects in the interests of efficiency and uninterrupted performance. The superior performance of untiring devotion to duty displayed contributed to the operational success of the unit.
He was predeceased by his wife of 69 years Jean (Adams) Przybylski; Sisters: Amelia Przybylski, Lembertha Karsonovich, Adele Rzecznik, Otillia Przybylski, Brothers; Joseph Przybylski, Adolph (Butch) Przybylski. Survived by his sister Bernadette Przybylski; 5 children; Daughters: Shirley Randle, Diane Cadd, Charlene Schwartz; Sons: Gary (Madeline) Przybylski, Len (Charlette) Przybylski; 11 wonderful grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was a devoted father, a true role model and our hero. He was deeply loved and respected and will be greatly missed by many.
Funeral Services: Wednesday 1PM in the Chapel at Veterans Memorial Cemetery Syracuse..
Burial with Honors : Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
