Please share a memory of VIRGINIA to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Virginia ”Babci” Lukacs (Kielecki) – 89, of Westvale, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 18, 2016, while being cared for by her children. She retired from Niagara Mohawk. She belonged to the Basilica of Sacred Heart (Syracuse). Virginia was the most devoted and generous mother and babci anyone could ask for. She never missed an opportunity to help out her family. She enjoyed knitting, reading, shopping and puzzles and would never miss a Harry Potter movie marathon. Virginia loved her pets and her door was always open for new additions. She enjoyed Syracuse lacrosse and often attended NCAA tournaments with her husband Norbert and their children. She had a great sense of humor and relished a good laugh. Virginia took great pride in being a Strong Matriarch and always stressed the importance of family. She would attend every event her children participated in no matter how small it may have seemed. Her biggest joy was being a Babci. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and was very involved in their lives.
Virginia is predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Norbert “Toby “ Lukacs. Her brothers Fred Kielecki and Ted Kielecki.
Virginia is survived by her seven children. Norbert (Cathy) Lukacs, Mark (Cathy) Lukacs, Paul (Jeanette) Lukacs, Robert (Robin) Lukacs, Stephen Lukacs, Richard (Abby) Lukacs and Virginia (Greg) Langdon along with 15 Grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family would especially like to thank Kelly Brown and Inez Phillips who helped assist with mom’s care and who are now considered part of the family.
