January 19, 2009 Mary B. Makowski, 87 0f Syracuse passed away Monday. Mary was born in Poznan, Poland and immigrated to the United States in 1947. Mary was a parishioner of the Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus and was a member of the Park Avenue Neighborhood Watch. Her husband, James and son, Michael, predecease Mary. Mary’s life was her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Christine(Anthony) Olszewski of Bangor, PA, Frances Smith of Onondaga Hill and her son, James(Cynthia) Makowski of Sterling, NY, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandsons and her sister-in-law, Sarah Makowski.
