I felt great sadness upon hearing of Owen's passing. Oswego's little corner of the world was a better place by his contributions and commitment. Owen would always tell me, "I just give them the numbers, they can decide what best to do about them." I always learning by listening to him talk 'CPA' to other auditors who knew the language. Owen guided OCO through many reviews that resulted in outstanding outcomes because he knew his job and had a sincere heart for those we served. Owen's memory will live on as he taught me much and I will always remember him as my model of the best finance director that I've had the honor to work with.

It was a privilege knowing and working with Owen at OCO. He had such a dry sense of humor and sharp wit. His staff loved him, and that speaks volumes about his character. Be comforted in the knowledge that he made a difference on this earth.

I am so saddened by your...and our loss.
His children and grandchildren meant the world to him. He talked about you with such fondness and shared how much he truly loved every minute he spend with each of you. He often mentioned the laughter and enjoymnet shared by all when you are together. Owen was so proud of his family and he had a grin from ear to ear each time he spoke about you.
Owen was a great colleague and a truly bright and gentle man that made an impact of many OCO employees at all levels. We are blessed to have had him in our family too.

I will miss Owen greatly. He was a kind and funny man. I truely enjoyed working with him at OCO. It was because of him that I have my job at OCO. He said "I think this is the person for the job" and so here I am thanks to him.. He changed my life at a time when things looked very dark for me and for that I could never thank him enough. I will remember him always and miss him dearly. RIP Owen.
