March 30, 2012 Sarah K. Makowski 97 of Syracuse was loving called “Shashe” or “Trachie” by her nieces and nephews who couldn’t say “Cioci” which is Aunt in the Polish language. Sarah retired 1974 from Eltra Corp. at the age of 60 after 36 ½ years of service. Sarah was a “need” not “want” type of person she remained healthy up to a few years ago, taking care of stray cats and cooking for her family. Sarah enjoyed Bingo, playing 31, gardening and shoveling snow. Sarah is survived by several nieces and nephews; Carmen Pirro, Kathy Vanelli, David(Amy) Pirro, Chris (Tony) Olszewski, Fran Smith and James (Cindy) Makowski, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
