December 9, 2011 Maryann Stankewicz 70 of Syracuse passed away Friday, December 9th. Maryann was a communicant of Sacred Heart Basilica and a former member of the IJ Paderewski Choir. She is a member of the Syracuse Polish Community Home. Maryann was a retired budget technician for the Syracuse Recruiting Battalion US Army. Maryann is predeceased by her parents, Prof. Louis and Lottie Synakowski and brother, Joseph. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, William Stankewicz Jr.; daughter, Monica Stankewicz; son, William Stankewicz III; grandson, Max Stanger; brother, Louis (Diane) Synakowski; 4 nephews and 2 nieces.
