March 9, 2013 Ziggy Zamojski , 89 of Solvay, passed away Saturday with his family at his side. Ziggy was an usher at St. Cecilia’s Church. He was Army Veteran who served as a Military Policeman 677 during WWII and fought during the Ardennes Campaign. Ziggy was a member of the Happy Hearts, was an avid fisherman, bowler and Polka dancer, Ziggy and his wife Helen travelled all over the country attending dancers. Zig was employed 37 years as a finish carpenter with Local #12 and , in fact, he built the family home in Solvay. Zig is predeceased by his wife of 66years Helen Wrobel Zamojski, who passed away January 31st 2013. He is survived by daughters; Sandy (Art) Witz and Dianne (Paul) Minieri and son; Ron (Marie) Zamojski; 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandsons, 4 great grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Plisczak of Solvay and brother, Alex Zamojski of Detroit, MI Calling Hours: Tuesday 4 to 7PM Hollis Funeral Home 1105 W. Genesee St Syracuse. Funeral Services: Wednesday 9 AM Hollis Funeral Home and10 AM in St. Cecilia’s Church Solvay where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Burial with Military Honors: Sacred Heart Cemetery Geddes
