Apolonia “Pola” Dobkowski, 85 of Syracuse passed away unexpectedly on Monday while attending a senior luncheon. Pola was born in Troszyn, Poland on October 27, 1923 and came to Syracuse in 1949 to join her husband, Leon. Pola was a communicant of The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus, Altar and Rosary Society, Sacred Heart Seniors and a member of Syracuse Polish Community Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon in 1980 and their infant son, Tadeus in1954. Pola is survived by her daughter Anna and her children; Matthew, Monica and Stephanie Rewkowski and daughter, Elizabeth(James Napierski) and their children; James Beeks, Delbert(Vicky) and David Jenkins and Marla(Adolph) Brown, brother and sister in Poland; several nieces and nephews in United States and Poland.
