September 28, 2011 Mary Helen Palkowski, 90 of Syracuse passed away Wednesday. Mary was a communicant of The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus and a member of its Rosary Society. She was a member of the Syracuse Polish Community Home and West Side Seniors. Mary enjoyed playing cards and travelling with her husband Ed and especially being with her children and grandchildren. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Edward; daughters, Jean Marie Edminster, Arlene (Mark) Westfall; grandchildren, Christopher and Lindsay Westfall, several nieces and nephews. Calling Hours: Sunday 4 to 6 PM Hollis Funeral Home 1105 W. Genesee Street Syracuse. Funeral Services: Monday 8:30 AM Hollis Funeral Home and 9:30 AM in The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus.
