August 14, 2008 Alfred F. Socha, 85, of Westvale, passed away on August 14, 2008. Al was a World War II veteran of the Army-Air Force. Al was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Coonley-Nojaim Chapter No. 30. and a member of the BPOE Lodge 31. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1952 with a degree in business. Al worked for General Electric in the Heavy Military Department for thirty-four years. He was a member of the G.E. Forman’s Association. Al was also a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Westvale. Al was predeceased by his wife of forty-seven years, Santa R. Socha. He is survived by his three children: John (Karen), of Camillus, Kathy (Mike) McNall, of Westvale, and Al (Rose), of Westvale. Six grandchildren also survive him: Lori Fall, Kristen Taylor, Jonathan Socha, Katherine Mittiga, David and Jackson McNall, and three great-grandchildren. Calling hours: Sunday 4-7 PM at Hollis Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 9 AM Monday at Hollis Funeral Home and 10 AM St. Charles Borromeo Church. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes Contributions may be made to the Oxford Street Inn Homeless Shelter or to the St. Charles Food Pantry. Please sign guestbook at hollisfuneralhome.com
