Obituary of H. James Duell

July 31, 2011 Herbert James Duell Jr., Former Jamesville, NY Resident and current Tully resident unexpectedly passed away at 53, on July 31, 2011. He was born in Syracuse and resided in the Syracuse area for most of his life. Jamey served with the U.S. Army. At the completion of his initial active duty tour he became a member of the United States Army Reserve and National Guard; he served from 1976-1987. Jamey’s passion was driving truck, riding motorcycles and singing karaoke. He is survived by his wife Gretta Duell and Harley his cat; his daughter, Samantha Lee and husband Arthur of Fulton. Three sisters, Lynn Duell of Syracuse, Elaina (Jeff) Morgan of Lebanon, Karen Andersen of Earlville; two brothers, John Duell of Syracuse, Jeff (Sissy) Duell of Delfi Falls; 3 step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and cousins. Family and friends are welcome to attend calling hours on Monday 4 to 6 PM at Hollis Funeral Home. 1105 W. Genesee Street Syracuse. Funeral service and a reception to celebrate his life will follow.
