October 11, 2007 Edward Stephen Stackiewicz, 68 passed away on the 11 th of October. Born in Syracuse, he attended Sacred Heart and graduated Solvay High School. He joined the United States Air Force at age 17 and served his country honorably for 24 years 9 months 3 days, retiring with the rank Senior Master Sergeant. He was an expert electrician, who was respected and admired by his friends and colleagues. He worked as an electrician at the VA Medical Center where he was honored for 45 years of service to the government. He is survived by his wife Maria Stackiewicz of Athens, Greece, his daughter; Elizabeth Stackiewicz- Nowak of Cazenovia, his son George(Miranda) of Thessaloniki, Greece and his son, Steve(Debbie) of San Diego ,CA as well as his brother, Richard(Helen) Stackiewicz and sisters, Linda(Dan) Roche and Arlene(Peter) Neveldine, 5 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
