March 8, 2011 John S. Winters, 52 of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday after a long illness. John was employed 32 years with the City of Syracuse Water Department. John’s co-workers fondly referred to him as ”Captain Highway or Dancing Bear” John loved Fishing, camping and boating. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Sheila Winters; son, John (Lynne) Winters; 2 sisters, Karen (Jack) LaGrange, Deborah (Paul) Cavanaugh; brother, Joseph (Irene) Winters and many nieces and nephews. Calling Hours: Thursday 4 to 6pm at Hollis Funeral Home 1105 W. Genesee St Syracuse Funeral services: Friday 8 AM at Hollis Funeral Home and 9 AM in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial: Assumption Cemetery
