February 8, 2013 Jack (John) F Kohanski 75, Syracuse New York passed away on February 8, 2013 after a long courageous battle of Cancer. Jack was born in Syracuse New York on October 29, 1937 as the eldest son to Anna and John Kohanski, he graduated from Vocational High School as an outstanding top ranked Basketball Star. Jack is preceded in death by Janice J. Kohanski his wife of 56 years. Jack worked for Crouse Hines where he retired from for 43 years and was a member of IBEW Local 2084.Jack was a coach for West End PBA where he lead the All-Star Teams to several championship. He coached baseball at West Side Catholic High School winning several parochial titles, and for 25 years he was the Head Coach at Fowler High School only retiring due to illness. He coached basketball for CYO Leagues and enjoyed playing softball with his sons for several years
