February 6, 2013 Maria Mirgorod, 87 of Syracuse passed away Wednesday. Maria was born in Kherson, Ukraine. She was a retired seamstress employed at the Marsellus Casket Co. Maria was predeceased by her husband, Walter November 2011. She is survived by her children, Walentin of Miami, Lidia, Ludmilia, and Elizabeth Mirgorod, George (Jennifer) Mirgorod of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Jeanette (David) Majerus, Sonia Andruszewski, Tonjia Droczak, Lara Mirgorod; Mary and Kate Mirgorod; 2 great grandchildren, Larissa Garcia and Nicholas Majerus. Funeral Services: Friday 9 AM in St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church 607 Tecumseh Rd Jamesville . The family of Maria would like to thank the nursing staff at Van Duyn Home for their loving care and attention extended to their mother and also of the care provided by Hospice.
