I will always miss you and even though you are gone in this world you are always with us in our souls. I will remember that last chess game that you and I played and I won for the first time. I wish we could play again and show you how much I have grown since than. I will always be sad for you being gone but I will be happy that I have that I have thought full thoughts of you.

Mark,
You were only 3 yrs old when you and your family moved accross the hall from our family. Your mom and I were best friends until her untimely death. It is hard for me to understand now with both of you gone. I know God has a plan and I need to accept that but my heart feels an emptiness. May you and your mom rest in peace.
Love, Madeline

I have been saying that I am fine that you are gone but the truth is that I feel a even bigger and darker hole in my heart that has not yet filled up from babushka. You were a great uncle and I will always remeber that game of chess that I creamed you at. I know how people say your in a better place, but I believe that you are still here with all of us. I believe that you feel like you have to help us find the right path of our lifes and you have fill the pain of your lost to all your loved ones. The pain in my heart is a little big so it won't be filled completey but I will always know that you are in my heart and I know that you are upset that our lives are almost dead and we are all sad, but we are looking out for you as much as you are for us. Uncle Mark I loved you so, I love you so, and sadly, I now, miss you so much.

What can I say, other than Mark was fun and truly gifted. I still think of that day, after school, Robert and I went over to his house and I allowed Mark to pierce my ears with one of those heavy duty sewing needle. It was painfully fun but I had such trust in him. My heart and prayers are with you and your family. God bless.
Peace and love to you, Mark.

May you rest in peace Mark. I am very saddened to hear of your death. I have not spoken to you in years, but you have left a huge impression on my heart. Even though it was not meant for us to be together long term, you taught me so much about love. Your love of life and passion for the things that mattered to you, were something extraordinary. You taught me to embrace my passion whole heartedly, and for that I will be eternally grateful. I have often wondered how you were doing and if you were happy. I am very glad to see that you found a partner to share your life with. I hope that you found that peace in life that you always seemed to be seeking. You were a good man, who cared about others greatly. You will forever remain in my thoughts. God Bless, Zoe Vollers

How sad. It's hard to believe that Mark will not be able to just pop in to see me every couple of years as was his custom. Mark never totally left Baldwinsville. He and my son Paul grew up together and were friends right through college at Cortland. I reminisce about the high school parties I drove them to, the conversations, his mom's rescued dogs. Stay strong Grace and Lisa. I'm so sorry.

To the Tubilino and DeMartino families, our prayers from the Henry's, Maureen and Shannon. This is a tragic loss. I'm thankful for the visit back to Liverpool by Mark and Grace last spring. I'll remember fondly our many intellectual discussions on everything, especially history. Mark was a historian among his many talents, we met through Joyce & Eddie. Thanks for attending our wedding. Your sense of humor and humanity made your life a fulfillment. "Everything becomes History" "Love and the Lord is our salvation.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mark was a year older and often hung out at my house with my brother Donnie, Craig Loucks, Shawn Coates and my friend Cynthia Taft. There were times, during the summers, that we were inseperable and I often look upon those times with the fondest of memories, always hoping to some day run into each one of them again. Mark always made me smile and had the best chocolate that he was willing to share! My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

Mark was a close and dear friend of mine growing up in Baldwinsville,NY. More so when we we're younger... when he first moved to Baldwinsville with his Mom and Sister up on Brooks Place. He, Paul Jensen and I... and later Craig Loucks, used to endlessly wander the woods in the back of our house and across the street making up great adventures of astronomical proportions. Such were the imaginings of young boys like us.
Mark was ALWAYS an artistic, imaginative, creative friend. Playing lacrosse, shooting bow and arrow at the haystacks in the Autumn, creating dinosaur claymation dioramas to shoot with his polaroid camera, etc. Quite often he would show up in the evening at my house and have dinner with me and my parents talking like an adult, being only a kid like we all were.
I am greatly saddened to hear of his passing and am honored to be able to give testimony of our friendship that meant a great deal to me growing up in such a small town in Upstate NY. You will be missed my friend. Peace be with you.. and to those you left behind.

I will forever consider one silver lining to being home recovering from breast cancer to be the day in April that Mark & Grace "dropped in" so unexpectedly. They chose that day to visit Mark's old haunts in B'ville, and Mom & I were so grateful that he considered the Merriam house as one of them. Mark was his usual jovial self and was very encouraging to one so soon out of surgery. We are shocked and saddened by this untimely loss and wish Grace and Mark's family all the comfort the Lord can bestow.
