February 19, 2008 Raymond S. Grabowski, 68, of Baldwinsville, passed away on Tuesday at home. Raymond retired after 43 years as a crane operator from Crucible Steel. He was known as "Grasshopper". Raymond was a graduate of Solvay High School and enjoyed Nascar Racing, football, and horse racing. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Susan Minot. Raymond is survived by three children, Michelle (Richard) Dischiave of Central Square, Raymond (Melissa) Grabowski of East Syracuse, James (Melissa) Grabowski of York, SC; grandchildren, Christina, Nicholette, Jessica, and Joseph Dischiave, Amanda, Joseph, Lucas, and Olivia Grabowski; two sisters, Claire Kremin of Syracuse and Fran Custer; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 W. Genesee St. Funeral will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland.
