Obituary of Joan Chisamore

April 15, 2010 Joan Chisamore, 74 of Syracuse, passed away Thursday at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Staten Island and lived in Syracuse most of her life. Joan enjoyed vacationing in the New Jersey and New York City areas and spending time with her 16 great grandchildren and her many friends at Sacred Heart and Mattydale VFW Bingo Halls. Joan was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Savage and son Jeffery Chisamore. She is survived by her daughters, Doreen ( David) Lockwood of Syracuse, Jeanette Elliott of Baltimore, Crystal Smith of Syracuse and Melanie (Doug) Bauder of Manlius; sisters, Doreen Criso of Staten Island, Karen Balistere of Brooklyn; brother, Wall Granberg of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Windy Madrid, Denise Madrid, Jackie Savage, Melanie Aldrous, Andre" Chisamore and Daniel Chisamore; as well as 16 great grandchildren and one great grandchild. Joan is affectionately remembered for her many contributions to charitable organizations and the love that she has shown to the many people around her.
