March 5, 2010 Michael "Micki" Piorek 88 of Syracuse passed away Friday. Micki was born in Auburn on September 23, 1921 to Frank and Catherine Klimek Piorek. Micki was a communicant of The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus. He was a Army Veteran of WWII, member of VFW Salt City Post and Life member of DAV. Micki retired 1985 after 29 years with the NYS Dept of Taxation and Finance. Micki was predeceased by his wives Phyllis(Philomena) 1969 and Anna Piorek 1983; sisters, Jane and Helen. Micki is survived by his sister in law, Jennie Myers; step son, Thomas Lockman; Step daughter, Ann Marie Wing, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Calling Hours: Sunday 1 to 4PM at Hollis Funeral Home. Funeral Services: Monday 8:30 AM Hollis Funeral Home and 9:30 AM in The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus.
