January 9, 2008 John W. Kushin Jr., 19 of Lakeland passed away Wednesday January 9th, 2008. John was a high honor student in Solvay High School and a member of the Solvay High School chorus. John also assisted the coaches of the Solvay Football Teams. John enjoyed NASCAR, his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon, and he was an avid Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys fan. His parents John and Tina Kushin, grandmother; “Babci†Stella Kushin and sister Kristina Kushin survive John. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling Hours: Sunday 1 to 4 PM at Hollis Funeral Home. Funeral Services: Monday 8:45AM at Hollis Funeral Home and 9:30 AM in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland.
