Raymond John Kalczuga Obituary

December 23, 2009 Raymond Kalczuga of Westvale passed away Wednesday December 23, 2009 at St. Camillus. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran who served on board the USS Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Moose Club. He was a parishioner of the Basilica for many years. Raymond retired from Allied Chemical. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and hosting parties for family and friends. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with his pets. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Nellie, sisters Mary Homnick and Laura Moskal and brothers William, Stanley, John and Daniel Kalczuga. He is survived by his sister Lillian Hasenyager and daughters Sandy Parzych and Suzie (Bruce) Barch. Grand-daughters Tracy (Paul) Gordon, Tammy (Brian) McIntyre, Terri (Jeremy) Jenkins, Julie (Ed) Dunn, Kimberly Barch, Ginny (Lenny) Paradise. Great grand children Shannon and Jack Gordon, Lauren and Delaney McIntyre, Danny Dunn, and Maddie Paradise and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday December 28 from 4-6pm at Hollis Funeral Home on West Genesee Street. A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday 8:30 AM Hollis Funeral Home and 9:30 AM in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Burial will be at St. Mary’s mausoleum in Dewitt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Kirkpatrick Day Program 441 West Kirkpatrick Street Syracuse, NY 13204.
