Paul F. Russell Sr. 75, of Fairmount died Friday, June 10 after a long illness. He was a graduate of Most Holy Rosary High School. He worked several years selling furniture and retired in 2004 from Lockheed Martin after 20 years. He served in the Army Reserves from 1963-1969. In retirement Paul played golf and worked part-time at Westvale Golf Course. He was an avid golfer and was proud of winning two President Cups and of getting multiple hole in ones. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was enthusiastic about participating in their sports and activities. Paul was predeceased by his parents, James and Marie Russell, and his brothers, James and Robert Russell. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia, children Mary (Joseph) Graziano, Paul (Ginny) Russell, Ann Russell and grandchildren Russell and Kate Graziano, and Molly Russell. Paul has donated his body to Upstate Medical University with the hope he will contribute to the advancement of medical education and research. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, (127 Chapel Drive, Syracuse), on Friday, June 17th at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you donate to a charity of your choice.
