Obituary of Bradley J. Beck

June 1, 2016 Brad Beck, 55, of Syracuse passed away at his home. He graduated from Henninger High School and attended OCC. At the age of 20, Brad became a firemen and worked for the Syracuse Fire Dept. for 20 years, he retired from station 18 in 2006. In his retirement, he enjoyed trips to Florida for bike week and seeing his friends, riding his 1973 Mustang and his Harley motorcycle, deer hunting, camping, the gun club, and attending rock concerts. Brad also volunteered for Meals and Wheels. Brad is survived by his sisters Tracy Nigro and Paige (John) Archambeault; brother, George Yakulis; uncle, Robert Nelson and cousin, Lisa Butler and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Larry Beck and mother, Carol Nelson and will be buried next to her in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt. Memorial Calling Hours: Monday 4 to 6PM Hollis Funeral Home 1105 West Genesee St Syracuse. Graveside Services will be held 11AM Tuesday in St Mary’s Cemetery DeWitt ( Randall Road Entrance Section 76).
