January 16,2013 Ann Wrobel, 90, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday. Ann graduated from Solvay High School and Syracuse University with a Masters in Fine Arts. Ann taught at St. Johnsville, Oswego, Sacred Heart High School and Solvay High School. She was most proud to be a wife of over 62 years to her husband, Gene, and a mother to her four children and three grandchildren. For her work in renovating the Stations of the Cross and Saints statues at Sacred Heart, Msgr. Gleba called her the Michelangelo of the Basilica of Sacred Heart. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Basilica. She was also a member of the Camillus Art Association. Ann is survived by her husband,Gene, children:Paul (Theresa) Wrobel, Eugene, Michael and Betsy (Ralph) Wrobel-Boerner; grandchildren, Andrew, Katie and Annalisa. Calling Hours: Friday 4 to 7PM, Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 W. Genesee St., Syracuse. Funeral Services: Saturday 8AM, Hollis Funeral Home and 9AM in Sacred Heart Basilica.
