Helen Barycki Obituary

December 2, 2007 Helen Barycki, 85, of Cicero, NY, passed away on Sunday, December 2, at Birchwood Nursing Home in Liverpool, NY. She was born in Scranton, Pa. and was the daughter of the late John and Mary Bandru. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph V. Barycki of 49 years, in 1991, and 3 sisters (Anna, Julia, Catherine) and 3 brothers (Michael, Joseph, Harry). She was a professional seamstress with various clothing manufacturers in Scranton for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Vladimir's Church in Scranton. She is survived by her daughter Joanne Davern (John) of Cicero, NY and son Joseph (Carolyn) of Clay, NY; 4 grand children -John Davern (Erina), Joelle Steele (Mitch), Heather Ellman (Scott), and Jason Barycki; great granddaughter Karissa Steele and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. There will be a private service on Friday, Dec. 7, for immediate family at the Nicholas Chomko Funeral Home 1132 Prospect Ave. Scranton, Pennsylvania followed with the funeral service being held at 11 AM at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church 430 North Seventh Ave. Scranton, Pa. 18503. Burial will be at the parish cemetery in Minooka, Pa. Contributions may be made in her name to St Vladimir Church, Heart Association, or Alzheimer's Association. Hollis Funeral Home in Syracuse, NY conducted local funeral preparations
