I worked with Bob at Fairmount Fair and James Street. He was always with a smile, a joke, a kind word. Many a day we talked about his baseball career and his love of Notre Dame. When I left James street to move to another store he did a pencil drawing of a ballplayer with a Wegmans hat on for me and to this that to this day remains in my office on the bulletin board at Great Northern. I remember him telling me he went to college for art...I will miss him and his funny nature...he was a true gentleman. Paul Bowe

As a child I remember my brother and Bob took me to Yankee Stadium for Old Timers day. We had such a great time and Bob was so very nice to me. I also remember going to Cooperstown and seeing Bob there. He was such a nice man and his passion for baseball was something to behold. He loved the Hall of Fame, well he is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Bob and Terri,
My heartfelt condolences go out to you guys. Uncle Bob was one of my uncles that I remember most and visited often, while working in Syracuse. I loved the fact that he was at Wegmans and that I could
"pop" in often to visit with him and swap old family stories and sports stories too! His love for "the game" was probably an influence for my growing up as a "jock" also, since there was little influence from my family in that regard. I also loved the fact that he and Grampa Lynch were artists and believe also that influenced my decisions in career choices too! And its nice to see that you both have similar interests from the sports and artistic areas with your own lives.
I even recall a time long ago when he was helping us move from Syracuse to the "burbs" and my twin (Ron) and I were packing our baby bottles and I think we were 3, or 4 years old, and he kiddingly chided us that we were "way too old" for baby bottles, and from that point on I don't think I ever used one or wanted to again! It's funny the little things you remember at times like these...
I've missed seeing him since I've moved out of state.
He was a great guy and a great uncle (easily my favorite in our crazy little screwed up family;-and I say that lovingly and hope no one is offended), but he will be greatly missed, and always remembered! My thoughts and prayers are with you guys...
Russell

I met Mr. Lynch at work while he was in the landscape business. What a joy it was to see him every week. He was always smiling and so positive and boy did he love his Yankees! I was also impressed with the fact that he NEVER missed his annual trip to the Cooperstown Hall of fame for Induction Day. Rest in Peace Mr. Lynch!

Teri, I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your father. I pray you will have the strenght to keep his memories alive and one day when it is not so painful share them with the younger generation and reminice about the good old days. It will get easier but it takes time and just take one day at a time.

So very sad to hear of Bob's passing. I just saw him at Wegman's last week. We always spoke and he asked about my kids all the time. He loved to see my youngest, Patrick, when he was with me. We have that "irish" connection and talked about how much we loved St. Patrick's Day. He always had a smile for you and a sotry to tell. He loved to talk about his baseball days. We will miss him Our prayers are with you and your family at this time.

I knew Bob Lynch when I worked at Wegmans James St. He was always pleasant and everyone liked him. I remember he replanted a tree that was a memorial tree for a a young couple(Wegmans employees) who had died tragically in a car accident. The tree thrived in it's new place by the side of the store.
I will miss seeing his smiling face.
