Steve, Mariann, Nicholas, Emma and the Billmyer and Stibitiz families.
*
Our most sincere condolences on the loss of your most beloved Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. Your feelings of sorrow must be overwhelming. Surpassed, only, by your sense of pride for the wonderful, long, talented and generous life Eleanor was able to live. One of the last of a most worthy & deserving member of America's Greatest Generation. She will be missed by all who knew her and remain behind in this life.
*
It was a privilege and an honor for both my son (born 1980) and myself to work on Eleanor's re-election campaigns, in 1983 & 1987, as part of her district extended into my neighborhood, which was part of the 7th Ward, in the City of Albany, NY.
*
In the late 1950's & early 1960's we both worked for the Syracuse, NY Herald Journal(Daily), Herald American (Sunday) & Post-Standard. Eleanor, as a reporter and myself, as a newspaper delivery boy. We were unknown to one another at the time.
*
Now! We are all left with many happy memories of Eleanor to, happily, revisit as our own time passes.
*
May your period of bereavement and grief be, mercifully, short.
*
God bless you all.
